Technology is everywhere. We have smartphones, smart TVs, our cars can park and drive themselves. Everyday the world gets inundated with a flood of what the next big thing is. Well, this time I think technology has really stepped up its game!

It's not enough for people to be playing in bands and giving concerts, now the robots are starting to do it as well! I came across this the other day and just had to share! Hope this brightens your day! Who knows, maybe this is what worship teams will look like in the future!

If you have ever been in Los Angeles and walked down Hollywood Blvd, you know that you can see all sorts of interesting things. The street is full of people in costumes waiting for you to come up and take a picture with them and then give them a tip. What a crazy business! I will give them credit though, they out there working and making a living pretending to be Spiderman, Marilyn Monroe, Jack Sparrow or even the guy from the Halo games. We were walking down the street a few months ago and came across this guy. At first I wasn't sure what was going on, but looking closer I was pretty amused.

Here is a guy dressed like Jesus, all the way down to the crown of thorns, playing the guitar and singing on the street for tips. He was playing everything from AC/DC to Neil Young, and he was pretty good!

We stood and listened for a bit and I had to take a picture because I didn't think anyone would believe me if I told them that I saw Jesus playing the guitar on the street in Hollywood. Now, I have no idea if this guy is a Christ Follower or if he was doing this just to get a reaction, but it got me thinking about the way that express my faith. Do the people that I come in contact with everyday know by the way that I act and the words that I say that I am a Christ Follower? Would they know by the way I treat my family and the people around me that I love Jesus? Here is a guy literally being (or pretending to be) Jesus on the streets of Hollywood and sometimes I find myself afraid to say too loud what Christ has done for me. It was just a bit of a wake-up call and I wanted to challenge you this week to live out your faith. No, you don't have to dress up like Jesus and stand on the street corner or carry a cross down the highway, just be aware that you can show people who Jesus is by the way you act, speak and treat each other.

I would love to know if you have a caption for this picture. Leave it in the comments below or on our Facebook page! Thanks for hanging out with me today!

As a Worship Leader when it comes to selecting songs for a service there are many things we have to consider. A few of which are; what songs to sing, what key to sing them in and how long we should sing each song. I found a clip of comedian Tim Hawkins talking about this very thing and thought I would share! It made me laugh I hope you enjoy it too!

After spending a nearly 3 months in Los Angeles, we feel like we have gotten to know the area and culture very well! Here is a list of some of the things we learned while we were there.
In no particular order...

Avoid the 405 & 101 no matter what.
The El Capitan Theater is the BEST place to see a movie. EVER!
Even after living there for 3 months, it is still exciting to see the Hollywood sign...every time.
LA has the largest urban park in the country. Larger than Central Park in New York City!
Being Gluten Free is easy.
Despite what they say it is NOT always sunny in LA.
LA is one of the most culturally diverse cities in the world.
It takes AT LEAST an hour to go anywhere in LA. It doesn't matter if it is one mile or 10 miles.
There is always a line at In-n-Out, no matter what time of day or night.
There are a ton of free entertainment options in LA.
No matter where you are you can see the mountains.
Everyone drives a Prius or Tesla.
You rarely meet someone who is actually from LA.
Spiderman and Jack Sparrow are always hanging out on Hollywood Blvd.
It doesn't matter what the weather is like, it's always a good day to go to the beach!

So, those are a few things we discovered during our time in LA. If you have any you would like to add, feel free to leave a comment here or on our Facebook page! Thanks for hanging out with me today!

As a songwriter it can be frustrating when things aren't coming out right. A few years ago I was struggling and it seemed like everything I was writing was awful! So, instead of quitting I did the only thing I knew to do...write a song about it! I wanted to share it with you just so you know what goes on in this crazy head of mine! I filmed this in the other day in the high desert of Acton, CA. so you could experience a little of the beauty we have been enjoying while we have been here!

Hope you enjoy! Please share this with your friends! Let me know what you think by leaving a comment here or on our Facebook page! Thanks for hanging out with me today!

As the NBA regular season is coming to a close and we are in the heart of March Madness I thought this would be just fun way to kick off the weekend!
This video was made a few years ago, but parodies a worship service as if were being broadcasted by ESPN. My favorite part is the "fumble by the Media Team!"

Enjoy...and Go Spurs Go!

Road Trip!

If there is one way to really get to know a person, it is being stuck in a car with them for hours on end. Some of my favorite memories are from road trips I have been on. Our family LOVES road trips, and it's a good thing because that is what we do for a living! We have criss-crossed the country driving parts of Historic Route 66, the entire length of I-35 from Laredo to North Dakota, through the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee and Kentucky and just in the first two months of 2015 we have driven the entire expanse of I-10! So you can bet that we have seen some fun, interesting and very weird stuff along the way. On our most recent trip from San Antonio to Los Angeles we hadn't even made it 2 hours out of town when we saw a cow wandering around ON the highway and then a few miles down the road a large grass fire! We called 911 to report the fire and when the operator answered they asked, “Are you calling about the cow or the fire?” What a question! We are still laughing about that one!

We always try to make every trip an adventure. We have seen where George Washington lived, been to a working soybean farm, toured factories, nearly run out of gas, eaten at some “interesting” places, and seen everything from the flat nothingness of the central plains to the majestic beauty of the mountains that reach to the sky. Sometimes we plan our adventures and sometimes they just happen, either way I am honored that God has called us to this crazy life and grateful that we get to do it as a family!

I would love to hear some of your favorite road trip stories! Please leave a comment here or on our Facebook page and share your favorite memory! Thanks for hanging out with me today!

There are some things that we take for granted. Truths that we never think about, but that will always hold true no matter how hard we try to change them. Here is a list of a few of my favorites. Enjoy!

It is almost impossible to not know someone who plays the guitar.
Ketchup makes everything taste better...except for Ketchup.
Things are always in the last place you look for them.
Time speeds up when you are on Facebook.
Everyone has an uncle who tried to steal their nose.
No matter how hard you try, you can never get your least favorite song out of your head.
Where ever you go...there you are.
The older Bob Dylan gets, the harder he is to understand.
"They" will never run out of things to say.
Gravity always wins.

If there are any I have missed, please feel free to comment here or on our Facebook page! Thanks for hanging out with me today!
